Making Room Update

When we were finishing the construction of our building we lost some significant square footage to our youth space due to an unexpected easement situation. The contractor recommended finishing the project to stay on budget and deadline, but to schedule an addition upon completion. At the time, the estimate received was $500k. Unfortunately, that amount was not raised, and in the subsequent years, particularly post 2020, construction costs and interest rates have skyrocketed. That same building is now estimated at over $2m. After prayerful consideration, the board has determined that is not a wise pursuit or use of funds and debt. It’s been a long road of meeting with architects and town department heads, but ultimately, all that due diligence was a worthwhile endeavor. Should a future expansion be required, the preliminary plan approval with the town will be a helpful benchmark.

Thank you to those that donated to this campaign. Jack is available to answer donor questions. Donations can be redirected if desired, and if you have a recurring donation setup towards Making Room, please edit that schedule or let us know.

We move forward fully committed to offering a full experience for our youth. Our mission statement, leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, will always guide our efforts. Middle School and High School will continue to gather Sunday mornings, midweek (Tuesdays at 6:30) and for special events like White Out, Lock-In, and the Hiking Trip.
